FAMILY SOLICITOR WITH SUPERVISOR STATUS
Reading office
We are looking to expand our Family department. We seek a Family solicitor with supervisor status specialising in any area of Family work.
Job Description
Our Family department currently deals with all areas of Family Law. We act for parents in care proceedings including representation at pre proceedings meetings. We undertake privately funded work in relation to all aspects of divorce and separation, including disputes in relation to finances and children. Some of our private law children work is funded under Legal Aid. We also deal with applications under the Family Law Act, both Legal Aid and privately funded.
Our ideal candidate would have at least 3 -5 years PQE and be a member of Resolution. Supervisor status is essential so we require a candidate with Family Law or Children panel membership or a Resolution accredited specialist as the role will include potential supervision of a trainee/junior members of staff and a supervisory responsibility for the purpose of the Legal Aid regulations. The candidate should have sufficient experience to work confidently and independently with minimal supervision. We require some experience of Legal Aid work or a willingness to be trained in the conduct of Legal Aid matters in Care, private law children’s cases and in respect of Family Law Act applications.
The ideal candidate will also either have a following or be prepared to work on building up a case load.
In addition to the above, our successful candidate will have good interpersonal and IT skills, and the ability to work as part of a small but friendly team.

Salary – generous market salary based on experience.
Hybrid working to be considered after a probationary period.
Secretarial and administrative support will be available.

CHILD CARE SOLICITOR
Reading Office

We are looking to expand our Family department. We are seeking a specialist Child Care solicitor with panel membership who will undertake a caseload of public law children matters.
Job Description
Our Family department currently deals with all areas of Family Law. We act for parents in all areas of public law children matters from pre-proceedings/PLO to care proceedings. We undertake privately funded work in relation to all aspects of divorce and separation, including disputes in relation to finances and children. We also deal with applications under the Family Law Act, both Legal Aid and privately funded.
Our ideal candidate would have at least 3-5 years PQE with significant experience in managing a caseload primarily focused on public law children cases, alongside some private law children cases.
We are looking for a candidate with Children panel membership as the role will include supervision of a trainee/junior members of staff and a supervisory responsibility for the purpose of the Legal Aid regulations. The candidate should have sufficient experience to work confidently and independently with minimal supervision.

CRIMINAL SOLICITOR
Reading Office
We currently have a full time opening in our Reading office and will require a Candidate ideally with a minimum of 1 year PQE and be duty accredited.
Albin and Co Criminal Department has many years of experience and an excellent track record defending clients. We currently have offices in Reading and Swindon.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work within a team but manage their own caseload of the full range of criminal matters and will attend clients at the police station and Magistrates Court.
The candidate will prepare their own cases for the Magistrates Court and will have assistance from our Crown Court team to prepare Crown Court matters.
Our firm provide a 24/7 service via a duty and in house rota. The candidate will be expected to undertake out of hours work at the police station and Court at will receive a good out of hours rate.
Requirements and Benefits
