About Ruqayah

Ruqayah qualified as a solicitor in June 2020 and has since practiced across all areas of Family and Children Law.

She has a strong background in community engagement, having volunteered extensively with the charity Aik Saath (Together As One), for which she was awarded the V100 Award in recognition of contributing over 100 hours of service. From May 2019 to May 2023, she also served as a local Councillor, demonstrating her commitment to public service.

Ruqayah has worked closely with domestic violence organisations such as DASH, Hestia, and Women’s Aid, and remains dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals with compassion and professionalism.

She has significant experience in children law matters, including cases involving contact arrangements, live-with orders, specific issue and prohibited steps orders, as well as the termination of parental responsibility. In addition to this, Ruqayah has also represented clients in domestic abuse cases, particularly in applications for Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders.

Her practice also includes handling divorce proceedings with an emphasis on resolving matters efficiently and amicably.

Ruqayah is highly experienced in representing parents during the Public Law Outline (PLO) process and in care proceedings, including applications for care orders, supervision orders, placement orders, and special guardianship orders.

Throughout her career, she has managed a wide range of complex and sensitive cases involving issues such as physical, sexual, psychological, and emotional abuse, neglect, substance misuse, domestic violence, mental health challenges, and parental alienation—approaching each with both efficiency and empathy.
