Tony Nowogrodzki
Associate Solicitor
Tony was admitted as a Solicitor in 1991. His background is that he was born in Reading where he was brought up and later educated at Keele University where he obtained an Honours Degree. After University he went to the College of Law in Guildford where he successfully completed his Law Society finals thereafter undertaking is initial training in Oxfordshire.
Tony moved to Swindon in 1991 and has lived in Swindon ever since. Tony has worked in Swindon for around 27 years and is a familiar face in the local Magistrates and Crown Courts.
In 1992 Tony began specialising almost exclusively in criminal defence work after he applied successfully to become a duty solicitor. Tony is therefore a very experienced and well known Solicitor in the local Court’s and Police Stations in Wiltshire and Bath.
Tony can offer a very comprehensive service to all of his clients who appreciate common sense, clear and practical advice that is delivered jargon free and in a friendly and professional manner. Tony can offer also clear advice as to funding and will offer advice as to whether legal aid is available for a particular case.
Over the years Tony has also delivered a particular interest in dealing with youths and vulnerable adults and has represented many clients in the local Youth Courts in Wiltshire.
Over his 27 year career he has represented clients for a whole range of offences and has had clients acquitted in that whole range of offences including
- Murder
- Speeding.
- Kidnap
- Domestic Rape
Tony has extensive experience in fraud and serious fraud, rape, historical rape allegations (particularly with vulnerable defendants), sexual assault, child & extreme pornography, conspiracy to supply drugs, supplying of drugs, burglary, wounding, kidnapping, and theft.
Tony has over the years developed a special interest in motoring cases and has recognised the devastating effects for example a disqualification can have on a household. He has successfully represented many clients in the local courts in Wiltshire facing disqualification and has successfully argued against disqualification and has presented successfully legal arguments concerning exceptional hardship and special reasons to avoid clients having their licence endorsed with penalty points or disqualification. Tony is able to advice in a whole range of motoring related offences offering clear and practical advice
Tony also enjoys a good working relationship with his fellow professionals and regularly makes representations on behalf of clients to the Prosecution and to the Probation Services and thereby assisting his clients in effectively progressing their defence arguments.
In his spare time Tony is a family man devoted to his wife and two children. He particularly enjoys taking his son to football training where his son plays for a local team. He is also a keen supporter of Swindon Town Football Club and Bath Rugby.
