Sally qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and joined Albin and Co in January 2014 in order to expand the firm’s Family Law practice.
Sally has a wealth of experience in all aspects of Family Law. For the last 20 years, Sally has specialised in all issues arising from family breakdown, whether in relation to married or unmarried couples, including resolving financial issues and disputes over children.
Sally is a member of “Resolution” (www.resolution.org.uk) an organisation whose members believe in a constructive non-confrontational approach to Family Law issues. She is one of a small number of Resolution Specialists in complex financial and property matters and children law – disputes between parents or relatives. Sally is also a qualified mediator in all aspects of Family Law .
Sally prides herself on her excellent record of client care. She is approachable and friendly and her advice practical and sensible. Feedback received from her clients over the years regularly comments on the invaluable support offered by Sally during what can be a traumatic and emotional time in people’s lives.
Primarily, Sally is committed to delivering an efficient and cost effective service and firmly believes that wherever possible attempts should be made to reach an agreed solution in a case without resorting to costly and stressful court proceedings.
Ranjit Jhagra

Ranjit qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and has practiced in all areas of Family and Child Law throughout her career to date. Ranjit has specialised in matters relating to children both in respect of Private Law and Care Proceedings.
Ranjit has extensive experience of representing parents, grandparents, other relatives, intervenors and Special Guardians on a range of cases involving alleged abuse, neglect, domestic violence and non-accidental injuries. Ranjit is committed to her clients and provides both high levels of empathy and quality of work. Ranjit prides herself on being sensitive to clients needs during very emotional and stressful proceedings. Ranjit is fluent in spoken Punjabi and Urdu.
Luke Cheshire
Trainee Solicitor

Luke achieved a first class honours degree in Law from Cardiff University. He joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in September 2022 subsequent to completing his LPC LLM at the University of Law, Reading where he achieved a distinction.
Luke is based primarily in our Family Law Department. Now in his second year and approaching qualification in September 2024, Luke has his own case load consisting of Public and Private Law Family matters. Luke works closely with other members of the Family Law department and is supervised by the department’s senior solicitors. He regularly attends court both with counsel in addition to conducting his own advocacy. He also deals with the firm’s PLO meetings and confidently meets new clients to take initial instructions. Luke prepares court documents including client statements, court bundles and is trained and experienced in handling Legal Aid matters.
Luke has additionally completed 6 months in our Criminal Law department which gave him further valuable experience of dealing with vulnerable people including those with mental health and addiction issues. During his time in our Criminal department Luke began the process of qualifying as an accredited police station representative. He now attends police station interviews on a regular basis to advise and assist clients in respect of all manner of allegations.
Luke prides himself on client care and consistently receives excellent feedback from clients who are particularly complimentary about his warm and supportive manner.
Luke left behind his cricketing career with Glamorgan CCC in order to pursue a career in Law, but still enjoys balancing his work commitments with sport in his spare time.
