Success at Swindon Magistrates’ Court
Catherine Brymer was instructed by our client who was charged with racially aggravated words/behaviour causing harassment, alarm and distress. He was accused of making comments towards another male after becoming disgruntled over a business transaction.
During the trial at Swindon Magistrates’ Court the Court heard evidence from the complainant and other prosecution witnesses followed by evidence from the Defendant who was assisted by an interpreter.
In preparation for this matter, we compiled evidence which we had translated to assist the Court and this, together with our client’s evidence, helped the Court conclude that the Prosecution’s case was not consistent with the evidence, and found our client not guilty.
