Confiscation Success for Jeremy Yuille

Jeremy Yuille represented a client facing confiscation proceedings. He had been ordered to pay a significant amount of money following a conviction for fraud, on the basis that his assets were of a particular value.

It was possible for Jeremy to demonstrate to the Court that the assets were of substantially lower value, thus reducing the amount the client had to pay by a six-figure sum.

The draconian legislation that permits the State to pursue convicted defendants is particularly weighed against the defendant, and so it was particularly pleasing to achieve this result.
