Not Guilty Verdicts Returned at Northampton Magistrates’ Court
Beth Vaughan represented a Defendant at Northampton Magistrates’ Court charged with assaulting an emergency worker.
Our client was accused of grabbing the face of an officer whilst being arrested. He accepted holding his hand out and making contact but he only put his hand up in self defence after officers had punched him in the chest, groin and head 4 times.
He accepted resisting arrest and offered this pela to the Prosecution which was not accepted.
After hearing Beth’s extensive cross-examination of two servicing police officers, our client and his defence witness he was acquitted and has no convictions in respect of this matter.
