How we can help
Prisoners can have additional days imprisonment added to their sentences due to breaches of prison discipline, commonly referred to as “nickings”. In those circumstances, they may face proceedings before a District Judge, called an Independent Adjudicator who will hear their case within the prison segregation unit.
The complex nature of disciplinary prison law and the prospect of further imprisonment means they are entitled to be represented at the hearing under legal aid should they not have the means to pay privately.
Andrea Storey at Albin & Co is a very experienced lawyer in prison disciplinary matters with an excellent success rate at defending clients in prison.
